How to convert CS2 sens to Deadlock

  1. 1

    Find your Counter-Strike 2 sensitivity

Open Settings > Keyboard / Mouse in Counter-Strike 2 and note the value of Mouse Sensitivity.

  2. 2

    Enter it in the converter

Type the value into the Sensitivity field above. Counter-Strike 2 and Deadlock are already selected.

  3. 3

    Set your mouse DPI

Enter the DPI you play at. Leave both DPI fields the same unless you use a different DPI in each game.

  4. 4

    Type the result into Deadlock

Open the mouse settings in Deadlock and enter the converted value.

The math behind it

Counter-Strike 2 turns 0.022° per mouse count at sensitivity 1 and Deadlock turns 0.044°. Dividing one by the other gives the multiplier: 0.022 ÷ 0.044 = 0.5.

CS2 keeps the Source yaw of 0.022 degrees per count (the m_yaw value), exactly like CS:GO. Your old number carries over unchanged.

The menu shows two decimals. The console command sensitivity accepts more, for example sensitivity 1.273.

Deadlock runs on Source 2 but uses twice the yaw of CS2 (0.044 degrees per count). Your Deadlock sensitivity is simply half of your CS2 sensitivity.

CS2 to Deadlock FAQ

How do I convert Counter-Strike 2 sensitivity to Deadlock?

Multiply your Counter-Strike 2 sensitivity by 0.5. For example, 1.25 in Counter-Strike 2 is 1.25 × 0.5 = 0.63 in Deadlock. This assumes the same mouse DPI in both games.

What is 1.25 CS2 sens in Deadlock?

1.25 in Counter-Strike 2 equals 0.63 in Deadlock at the same DPI. With an 800 DPI mouse both give 41.6 cm per 360° turn.

Do I need the same DPI in CS2 and Deadlock?

It is easiest to keep one DPI for every game. If you do use a different DPI in Deadlock, enter it in the second DPI field and the converter adjusts the result.

Why does Deadlock still feel different after converting?

The conversion matches hipfire turn speed. Counter-Strike 2 and Deadlock can still differ in field of view, movement speed and how scoped or ADS sensitivity is scaled, which changes how fast a turn looks on screen. Play a few sessions before you adjust the number.

Is the Deadlock result exact?

The math is exact, but Deadlock only accepts 2 decimals. For Counter-Strike 2 1.25 the closest value you can type is 0.63, which is 0.8% away from a perfect match. A small DPI change can close that gap.
