What is a good eDPI for PUBG: Battlegrounds?
DPI is how many counts your mouse reports for each inch it moves. Sensitivity is how far the game turns you for each count. Neither number means much alone: 400 DPI at sensitivity 2 is exactly as fast as 800 DPI at sensitivity 1. eDPI multiplies the two, so it describes your real turn speed in one figure.
PUBG: Battlegrounds uses a slider that is not proportional, so two setups with the same eDPI can still turn at different speeds. Treat eDPI as a rough guide in this game and rely on the cm/360 value from the calculator, which follows the real in-game curve.
eDPI only compares players inside one game. To move your aim to another game, use the PUBG sens converter, which matches your 360° distance instead. If you are switching mouse DPI, the DPI calculator gives you the new sensitivity.
PUBG eDPI FAQ
What is eDPI?
eDPI means effective dots per inch. It is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. Two players with the same eDPI in the same game turn at exactly the same speed, even if one uses 400 DPI and the other 1600.
How do I calculate my PUBG: Battlegrounds eDPI?
Multiply your mouse DPI by your in-game sensitivity. For example, 800 DPI with a PUBG: Battlegrounds sensitivity of 40 is 800 × 40 = 32000 eDPI.
What is a good eDPI for PUBG: Battlegrounds?
PUBG: Battlegrounds uses a slider that is not proportional, so eDPI is only a rough guide here. Use the cm/360 reading instead: most players are comfortable between 30 and 60 cm per 360° turn.
Can I compare eDPI between different games?
No. Each game has its own sensitivity scale, so an eDPI of 280 in Valorant and 280 in CS2 are very different speeds. To compare across games use cm/360, or convert your sensitivity with the sens converter.
Is higher or lower eDPI better?
Neither is better on its own. A lower eDPI needs bigger arm movements and makes small corrections easier. A higher eDPI lets you turn quickly with your wrist but is harder to control. Choose the one that lets you track and flick consistently.
Does DPI matter if my eDPI stays the same?
For turn speed, no. 400 DPI at sensitivity 2 and 800 DPI at sensitivity 1 give the same eDPI and the same 360° distance. A higher DPI can make very small movements slightly smoother, and it also speeds up your cursor in menus and on the desktop.
