How to convert PUBG sens to CS2

  1. 1

    Find your PUBG: Battlegrounds sensitivity

Open Settings > Control > Mouse in PUBG: Battlegrounds and note the value of General Sensitivity.

  2. 2

    Enter it in the converter

Type the value into the Sensitivity field above. PUBG: Battlegrounds and Counter-Strike 2 are already selected.

  3. 3

    Set your mouse DPI

Enter the DPI you play at. Leave both DPI fields the same unless you use a different DPI in each game.

  4. 4

Type the result into Counter-Strike 2

Open Settings > Keyboard / Mouse in Counter-Strike 2 and set Mouse Sensitivity to the converted value.

The math behind it

Both setups are matched on degrees turned per inch of mouse movement. Because one of these games uses a slider that is not proportional, the converter solves the in-game curve for each value instead of using one multiplier.

PUBG uses an exponential slider from 1 to 100. Adding about 15 points doubles your turn speed, so small changes matter more than they look.

Each scope has its own slider, and Vertical Sensitivity Multiplier (default 1.0) scales up and down movement separately.

CS2 keeps the Source yaw of 0.022 degrees per count (the m_yaw value), exactly like CS:GO. Your old number carries over unchanged.

The menu shows two decimals. The console command sensitivity accepts more, for example sensitivity 1.273.

PUBG to CS2 FAQ

How do I convert PUBG: Battlegrounds sensitivity to Counter-Strike 2?

Enter your PUBG: Battlegrounds sensitivity in the converter above. PUBG: Battlegrounds uses a slider that is not proportional, so there is no single multiplier. For example, 40 in PUBG: Battlegrounds is 1.27 in Counter-Strike 2 at the same DPI.

What is 40 PUBG sens in CS2?

40 in PUBG: Battlegrounds equals 1.27 in Counter-Strike 2 at the same DPI. With an 800 DPI mouse both give 40.9 cm per 360° turn.

Do I need the same DPI in PUBG and CS2?

It is easiest to keep one DPI for every game. If you do use a different DPI in Counter-Strike 2, enter it in the second DPI field and the converter adjusts the result.

Why does Counter-Strike 2 still feel different after converting?

The conversion matches hipfire turn speed. PUBG: Battlegrounds and Counter-Strike 2 can still differ in field of view, movement speed and how scoped or ADS sensitivity is scaled, which changes how fast a turn looks on screen. Play a few sessions before you adjust the number.
