How to convert Apex Legends sens to Fortnite

  1. 1

    Find your Apex Legends sensitivity

Open Settings > Mouse/Keyboard in Apex Legends and note the value of Mouse Sensitivity.

  2. 2

    Enter it in the converter

Type the value into the Sensitivity field above. Apex Legends and Fortnite are already selected.

  3. 3

    Set your mouse DPI

Enter the DPI you play at. Leave both DPI fields the same unless you use a different DPI in each game.

  4. 4

    Type the result into Fortnite

Open Settings > Mouse and Keyboard in Fortnite and set X-Axis Sensitivity to the converted value.

The math behind it

Apex Legends turns 0.022° per mouse count at sensitivity 1 and Fortnite turns 0.005555°. Dividing one by the other gives the multiplier: 0.022 ÷ 0.005555 = 3.9604.

Apex runs on a modified Source engine and keeps the 0.022 yaw. CS2, CS:GO and Titanfall 2 values copy across 1:1.

ADS Mouse Sensitivity Multiplier is separate and defaults to 1.0.

Fortnite shows sensitivity as a percentage. Each 1% turns 0.005555 degrees per mouse count.

Set Y-Axis Sensitivity to the same percentage if you want vertical and horizontal aim to match.

Apex Legends to Fortnite FAQ

How do I convert Apex Legends sensitivity to Fortnite?

Multiply your Apex Legends sensitivity by 3.9604. For example, 1.5 in Apex Legends is 1.5 × 3.9604 = 5.9 in Fortnite. This assumes the same mouse DPI in both games.

What is 1.5 Apex Legends sens in Fortnite?

1.5 in Apex Legends equals 5.9 in Fortnite at the same DPI. With an 800 DPI mouse both give 34.6 cm per 360° turn.

Do I need the same DPI in Apex Legends and Fortnite?

It is easiest to keep one DPI for every game. If you do use a different DPI in Fortnite, enter it in the second DPI field and the converter adjusts the result.

Why does Fortnite still feel different after converting?

The conversion matches hipfire turn speed. Apex Legends and Fortnite can still differ in field of view, movement speed and how scoped or ADS sensitivity is scaled, which changes how fast a turn looks on screen. Play a few sessions before you adjust the number.

Is the Fortnite result exact?

The math is exact, but Fortnite only accepts 1 decimal. For Apex Legends 1.5 the closest value you can type is 5.9, which is 0.7% away from a perfect match. A small DPI change can close that gap.
